An LPC-A is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate who has completed a master’s degree in counseling and is gaining supervised experience toward full licensure. They are trained to provide effective, evidence-based therapy and work under the supervision of a licensed clinical supervisor.

A Doctoral Clinician is an advanced graduate student earning their PhD, PsyD, or ED in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, or school psychology. They are supervised by a Licensed Psychologist and meet weekly to review cases and treatment plans. Doctoral Clinicians in our practice are chosen based on their level of expertise and experience. They are excellently trained and working towards completing the necessary face-to-face hours to complete their program's requirements for graduation. Doctoral Clinicians are able to offer reduced rates and sliding scale fees.

Allison brings a compassionate and solution-focused approach to therapy. She specializes in anxiety, OCD, and parenting challenges, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and other proven methods. Her goal is to create a safe space for clients, drawing on her personal experience as a mother of three to understand each unique situation.

Witnessing such transformations as a child overcoming contamination OCD and regaining control of their life, reaffirms her commitment to supporting clients. Seeing individuals overcome anxiety, develop coping strategies, and make positive changes is truly fulfilling.

Creating a non-judgmental, empathetic environment is essential. She believes seeking help is a sign of strength, and aims to make clients feel seen, heard, and valued.

Catherine is a 5th-year School Psychology doctoral candidate at the University of Houston who has psychotherapy experience with children 7-19 (individual and group therapy) and psychological assessment experience with children 2-18 years old. She has worked with clients navigating anxiety, OCD, depression, suicidality, self-regulation difficulties, trauma, academic challenges, and developmental disorders such as ADHD and Autism.

Catherine utilizes an integrative approach to therapy, involving CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Positive Psychology, Humanistic Psychology, mindfulness and other techniques to ensure that the treatment plan is tailored to the person’s needs, challenges, and interests. Additionally, she has been teaching yoga to kids and adults for 8 years in schools, hospitals, yoga studios, and in private settings.
